8 years ago, at a neighborhood dental clinic, I had non-extraction orthodontic treatment with an orthodontic specialist. When I was in college, I begged my mom to let me do it, and back then I didn't think much about it, so when I was told not to extract teeth because it could make me look sunken-cheeked, I followed the doctor's advice. The result was satisfying, but my mouth didn't come in completely. Of course, because it was non-extraction.. But I have a gummy smile when I smile... ㅋㅋㅋ And my front teeth are very large, so my philtrum also looks long.. When I was young, I didn't know anything and just followed what they said there, but now there are a few things I regret. First of all, the problem started with not looking into things properly and doing it at a neighborhood dental clinic. First, because of that, I couldn't get jaw correction... I also had a bit of asymmetry, so my left jaw was more developed and I had a square jaw. But it seems they didn't correct the temporomandibular joint ㅜㅜ and I still have asymmetry ㅠㅠ Second, the fact that proper measures weren't taken for the gums showing when I smile broadly ㅜㅠㅠ (of course, I couldn't even tell the doctor) Actually, it may have been a case that needed double jaw surgery... Back then I couldn't even imagine that and only thought about myself and braces ㅋㅋㅋ I recently looked into it a bit, and if the front teeth are small, they also do it with laser treatment.. but that didn't seem to be my caseㅠ Third, I was only afraid of extraction and couldn't properly tell the doctor my opinion that I wanted my mouth to come in more... -> Actually I also said that above, but I have a lot to say about this. I did trust the doctor, but honestly he was a bit sensitive;;; kind of person... ㅠㅠ Even to the nurses he had a very cold way of speaking... maybe it was just his tone, but he would also get irritated easily at times... ㅋㅋㅋ I'm a bit uncomfortable with people like that ㅜㅜㅜ I was really young back then, so I couldn't say what I wanted properly at all ㅋㅋㅋ Sigh ㅋㅋㅋ Everyone here, please!! research well, and if you have TMJ problems or asymmetry, correct them together too.. so you can finish it all at once!!!
