I’m the person who posted about removing my nose surgery about a year ago. If you search with my ID, it will probably come up. I had even forgotten that I posted something like that, but after coming back to the site for the first time in a while and seeing that I was still getting a lot of messages, I’m posting again. It has been a year now, and many people are curious about my current condition, asking things like whether I have contracture, whether the nose has lifted, and so on, so I’m posting current photos as well. The text below is the original post I uploaded 1 year ago. Among the collected photos, the three on the top row are photos from after I had the silicone removed, and the four photos below are from before silicone removal, after I first had my nose surgery. And the two separately attached photos were each taken today. There is no lifting of the nasal tip, and after the silicone removal, the swelling in the nasal bridge that had been swollen has all gone down, so my originally low nasal bridge is showing now haha. Even so, without any particular contracture or abnormality, I’m living very well now.. I have no scar at all.. Even my mom, who is extremely sensitive about things like that, says it healed very well when she sees it.. These days I even blow my nose pretty vigorously.. At first it was hard, but just as the director said, now I can even make a pig nose.. (Actually, one of my big worries was that later, when I had a baby, I wouldn’t even be able to show the baby things like a pig nose going oink oink.....) My nose now is, to anyone who sees it, just a low-bridged nose and not a pretty nose. Still, even if someone said they would do it for free, I never want to have nose surgery again. And I’m taking the time to write this for people who, like me, are struggling emotionally because of silicone after nose surgery, not to promote that hospital or to do this so the people at that hospital can make money.. There are occasionally people who message me saying, “Aren’t you a broker too?ㅠㅠ” and I understand the suspicion.. I always thought that way too, and there are so many brokers running rampant in this field. But I truly know exactly how it feels for those who are looking into nasal reconstruction in a state where they feel like they would grasp at any straw, so that’s why I’m posting this. I’m not saying you must do it at the hospital where I had mine done, so please just use it as a reference. I hope my review can be even a small comfort to those who feel hopeless because their nose turned out strangely.

Today I had my silicone and septal support removed..!
As of today, it was an awkward point, 26 days since my nose surgery.. I really didn’t like the line, and because they extended my nose with septal cartilage, it had a line that was really like an eagle’s beak? It looked like an old witch’s nose.. The line seemed to droop slightly downward.. They said they would make it a straight-line nose; (Before that, I did have a severe hump, but because my nose didn’t project long, I was still told I looked young, but after the hump surgery, the hump disappeared, yet because of the septal support projecting long downward, I started hearing that I looked older..)
I feel a bit sorry to that celebrity, but it ended up like Kim Jung-X’s nose from Get It Beauty.. Of course, she is really pretty..! But on my face, which has chubby cheeks and a baby-like image, it was a truly separate-looking, unnatural nose..ㅠㅠ Oh right, even after my hump surgery, I seriously had so little swelling that from day 10, I could walk around outside without a mask, so I felt the line had already fully appeared.
At the hospital that did the surgery, they said it had not even been a month yet, so the line could look that way and that the line changes for 6 months, but no matter how I looked at it, it did not seem like a line that would change. I asked them to remove it, but they said since it had not been long since the surgery, doing it right away would not help at all and told me to come back after 6 months. They said if I still didn’t like it then, they would remove it then. So I looked for a hospital that would remove silicone and decided to have it removed somewhere close to home..
At the hospital where I decided to have it removed, the director said it could be removed now.. and that when inflammation or things like that occur, they sometimes remove it early, he said.. Of course, I had no inflammation, and it might be better to let it settle more before doing it, but because not much time had passed, removing it now might actually be better, he said..
So I went into surgery today, and at the previous surgery place, they roughly disinfected my face, covered it with a towel, said preparation was done, and went into surgery, but here they put some kind of tightening cover over my whole face and thoroughly applied disinfectant all over, down to my neck and lower shoulder area.. The preparation time was quite long. Anyway, they were very meticulous with the pre-surgery preparation..
During surgery, I went under light sleep anesthesia and was awake mentally almost the whole time.. So it was even scarier..ㅠㅠ When I had hump nose surgery, I just slept and woke up and it was over! They said that during removal surgery, it’s because you have to lift your head and turn it to the side while awake. Pain during surgery...? Yes, it hurt a little.. It probably varies case by case, but for me, it hurt. You know, that feeling where you’re anesthetized, but there is a throbbing and a su~btle pain. During my hump surgery, I had absolutely none, so I didn’t expect it, but maybe because I was conscious, I could feel pain.. There was pain when they ground the bone, like scraping and pressing hard.. and near the very end when they were stitching the nasal tip, it stung. At the nasal tip, I only felt something being cut snip-snip. Maybe because they were cutting and operating again before it had fully healed..
Because it was removal surgery, and the cost was on the cheaper side, I really thought they would simply remove it and that would be it, but before, during the hump surgery, there was a part beside the nasal bridge that stuck out a bit because it hadn’t been ground enough, (I only noticed this after the swelling went down.. When it was swollen, it was puffy, so I didn’t know.) They said that if I could bear it a little, they would smooth out that part too. It buzzed a bit, and there was a scraping sound, and a throbbing feeling from pressure, but I endured it.. I saw other people say that after removal, the area where the hump had been ground looked flat and wide as-is or uneven, so since mine was removal surgery, I thought that kind of part would basically count as revision surgery.. and they probably wouldn’t do it, but thankfully..ㅠㅠ they corrected everything.. The uneven, visibly noticeable area from the hump grinding was smoothly refilled by reusing the septal cartilage they removed from me after shaping it well.. They also raised the nasal tip slightly with the reused material. This was a plastic surgery clinic I had never heard of before, but the director was meticulous, and the nurses were so kind, and so were the consultants.. At the place where I had my hump done before, the consultant was completely like some kind of sales pusher; it was so obvious they were trying to coax people, so I felt repulsed, but here they are genuinely just kind in a human way..
Because I wanted to remove it even a day sooner, honestly, I chose this hospital without looking into many consultations. I saw someone’s review in a community and asked for the name, but I didn’t even get a reply, so using the rough information that person said they found through searching, I found it myself and went there.. To be honest, because there are so many brokers and it’s hard to trust anything, I did have anxiety like, what if this person is an ad too.. but even if that were the case, all I could think was that I wanted to remove it quickly. But... it seemed like I didn’t have that many options anyway.
I went to consultations at about 3 removal hospitals, and at the place where I had my hump surgery, they told me to come back after 6 months. When I went to another plastic surgery clinic next door, they refused outright, saying they don’t do silicone removal surgery at all. They told me to go ask the place where I had the procedure done.. The last place I went also told me to come back after 3 months.. But at this place, the director accepted me, so I had it doneㅠㅠ After coming home, my nasal bridge is definitely lower and the artificial feeling is gone.. I resent myself so much, wondering what greed made me have nose surgery and then spend more money to remove it.. If I could go back to the past, I would want to go back to myself when I decided on hump nose surgery and slap myself, saying, get a grip, you idiotㅠㅠ.... I never, ever want to get on a plastic surgery operating table again.. Why did I touch the face my mom and dad gave me, and why am I going through this emotional suffering..ㅠㅠ I don’t know how it will heal going forward or what will happen, but I think it’s better than having that kind of nose I had never seen in my life because of silicone and the septal support..
Oh, to give you information about my previous surgery, it included hump grinding + osteotomy of the nasal bones on both sides + 1.5 mm silicone implant + nasal tip length extension with a septal support. I tried to write in detail, and I hope it helps even a little for those who are struggling with the decision. I also went through so much emotional suffering while looking into removal surgery.. I truly do not want to do something shameless like promoting a hospital to people who will go through this kind of pain.. This is really honestly a place I found on my own and where I personally received surgery. Please consult many places besides this one too, and I truly hope the wounds in your heart heal..!
