I’m sharing my rhinoplasty review. I had a total of 2 surgeries.
1. In my early 20s, my nasal bone became quite severely deviated due to trauma. I had surgery at a place where an ENT specialist was running a plastic surgery clinic. They straightened the deviated bone, shaved down the protruding part, and because bone could grow back in the shaved area, they inserted 1 mm silicone. The nasal tip was done with ear cartilage. At that time, maybe because many areas were touched.. or because they worked on the bone, the swelling and recovery time really seemed to take a long time. I couldn’t go outside for almost 2 months.
2. I was fine for 2-3 years, but then I had another injury during training in the military.. I don’t know exactly what the problem was, but they said I needed revision surgery quickly, so I used up all my leave and got the revision. I think the silicone probably shifted because of the trauma. They replaced it with silicone of the same size, and reused the ear cartilage that had previously been used in the nasal tip.
The goal for my nose shape was to restore it to how it was before the injury. Well... I didn’t have big ambitions, and it would look strange if only the nose were high. I think I was lucky to meet a good doctor too. Even so, now that a few years have passed, I’m getting inflammatory symptoms, maybe from a silicone rejection reaction.. This time, if medication doesn’t work, I’m going to remove everything and live with peace of mind haha
