Rhinoplasty Review

I’d always had a bridge to my nose, but I had a complex about my nasal tip looking broad and bulbous. I kept wondering whether to do it or not, and this time I had both the money and the time, so I decided to go for it. I live in Busan, so while visiting clinics, I found two that I liked. But I had rhinitis surgery in the summer, so all of my septal cartilage had been removed. Because of that, one clinic planned to use ear cartilage and Gore-Tex, while the other suggested costal cartilage and silicone. The clinic that used costal cartilage said they had no costal cartilage in stock, so in the end I chose the clinic that used ear cartilage.

The day before surgery, I was so nervous I thought I was going crazy. I wanted to cancel right away. So I contacted friends around me who had had cosmetic surgery, and they told me not to worry, so I headed to the clinic. The surgery was so simple that it almost felt pointless that I had been so nervous. I didn’t even change into surgical clothes; I just lay down in the clothes I had worn there and had the surgery.

On the first day, it just felt like there was something in my nose, and of course since it was the day of surgery, there was some discomfort. Still, I ate well. The next day, I went to the clinic for disinfection and came back down to Busan. Then 4 days later, I had the stitches removed. After the stitches were removed and the splint was taken off, I could finally see how my nose had been operated on. The clinic aims for an ultra-natural look, but I was worried that my nasal tip had become slimmer than I expected. After that, to reduce swelling, I ate low-fat foods and went for walks and took half-body baths every day. Right now it’s exactly 2 weeks after surgery, and I think a lot of the swelling has gone down to some extent. It feels like my nose shape changes every day. But for 3 days, I helped my older male cousin with his parcel delivery work, and now my nasal tip feels slightly itchy and tight. I asked the clinic, and they said it’s part of the settling process, so I think I’ll have to wait and see. I’ll write again later once the swelling has gone down completely.
