I had been considering plastic surgery because of my hump nose, and I ended up having surgery this time. I had surgery to remove the protruding part on the dorsum of my nose, then had osteotomy and narrowing. I left the nasal tip and other areas as they were.
The surgery was less painful than I had been very nervous about, and it was tolerable except for having cotton packed in my nose for about a day and my nose feeling cold because my nose hairs were removed. At first it was very swollen, so it was hard to judge the nasal line, but as I entered week 2, a lot of the swelling went down and the line seemed to be settling.
But the areas where the bone was shaved have very different heights on the left and right. One side is smooth, but the other side feels sunken, maybe because too much was shaved, and it has been left with an uneven, bumpy look. As of now, I feel like it’s worse than before surgery.
I don’t know whether the shape just hasn’t fully settled yet or whether it’s really sunken in, so I’m just waiting for my hospital visit day. I’m worried I might end up needing fat grafting surgery ㅜㅠ
