In the photo, the left is after removal and the right is before! After only lurking in this community, I finally went and had my nasal implant removed. It had been almost 5 years since I had surgery with straight silicone + ear cartilage, and I gradually started to feel my nasal alae narrowing and my nostrils getting smaller.. My rhinitis got even worse, and whenever I was even a little tired, the area between my eyebrows would swell and my nasal tip would throb ㅜㅜ My nasal tip also kept drooping more and more, and it was a total mess, with the silicone showing through + the silicone shifting to the left. When I compared the shape to a year ago, it had changed so much that every time I took photos, the silicone looked way too obvious, and I was stressed by how unnatural my face looked. Especially when I went somewhere with strong lighting, it was really obvious... My nasal tip had collapsed, so it even looked like a hump nose!! At first, I was going to go to a hospital specializing in removal, but places charging over 3 million won were just; the cost was too burdensome, so I couldn't go. So I had a consultation through an acquaintance's introduction and decided to have it removed at an affordable price. The director was so, so kind ㅜㅜ and I liked that he examined everything carefully. He said 90% of my nose problems were because of the silicone. He said removing the silicone would improve things a lot. For the nasal tip cartilage, he said he would look at the condition inside my nose and remove it if needed, or try to preserve it as much as possible, so I said okay and went into surgery... I think the surgery took about an hour? When I woke up from anesthesia;: the pain was;;:: enormous ㅜㅜㅜ My face didn't even look human, and I had nosebleeds pouring out for two days. The day after surgery, I went to the hospital and cried, saying my face was too swollen, so they gave me laser treatment and swelling injections as a complimentary service! I had surgery on Friday, and after getting injections and laser on Saturday and Monday, I finally looked human again!! The director said there are individual differences, but swelling can last up to a week, and that it wasn't because the surgery went wrong, so not to worry ㅎㅎㅎㅎ Maybe because it's still swollen, my nose is a bit chubby, but I don't really feel like it got too low.. and I don't think it's upturned either. When I go to have the stitches removed on Friday, I'm going to ask how many millimeters of silicone were in my nose and whether the capsule was removed!! After taking out the silicone, my nose definitely feels lighter ㅜㅜ and my condition feels better. There is a slight numb/tingly feeling, but it's still early, so I'll watch it a bit more! I'll come back with another review.
