Hello. I always only read other people’s reviews, but today I’m writing my own. About 20 years ago, I had open rhinoplasty with silicone and ear cartilage, and until now I had been doing fine without any particular side effects or inflammation. To be honest, until a few years ago, I didn’t even really know side effects existed. Maybe because of that, once I learned that side effects could happen and saw photos of side effects, I suddenly started to get scared, and honestly the reason for removal is my psychological anxiety.
Rather than making my nose prettier or higher, I decided that I wanted to find psychological stability and live comfortably, so I had surgery today at Apgujeong ㅅ ㅅ ㅇ Plastic Surgery. There was also an option to leave the ear cartilage and remove only the silicone through a closed approach, but personally, I just didn’t want to create a situation where I would have to get on the operating table again for the same reason, so I had everything removed.
I had silicone and ear cartilage removal and cartilage repositioning. I had sedation anesthesia, and I think the surgery took about 2 hours. Dr. ㅅ ㅅ ㅇ didn’t say things like, “You’ll just go back to your old nose. This is what would be good.” Instead, he said he would reposition it so that it could return as much as possible to my old nose. His attitude of letting the patient choose actually made me trust him more. Right now the swelling is so severe that I honestly can’t even make out the shape, but anyway, psychologically I feel comfortable and good.
I’m on my phone, so the cursor window keeps jumping up to the title and it’s hard to write. Even someone like me, who had it for a long time, finished removal safely, so for those who are worried about removal, I’m writing this to encourage you to be brave! I’ll leave another update in a few days!
