Hello. I was organizing an old hard drive and saw screenshots I’d saved from a community in the past, which reminded me that I had meant to leave a review, so I came back. It’s already been 3 years. I don’t think there are many people who are as far out as I am, and after about 3 years, I think it can be considered fully settled, so I’ll write about it. I’m too lazy to upload photos,, and I don’t really trust photos anyway. I’ll write calmly in words, so please read it.
1. First of all, after removal, you feel extremely happy mentally. When I look back on that time, it was truly like hell, and I’m so, so satisfied now. Just the thought that an implant could be inside my body now feels horrifying and makes me shudder.
2. I had severe inflammation inside, and later the implant was protruding outward to the point that it was almost coming out. So I was extremely terrified and trembling with fear during removal, but in the end, although a lot of scar tissue and fibrotic tissue formed, it doesn’t look disfigured or ugly. It’s more like the scar tissue that was there when the silicone was in place just remained? But even that improved over time as swelling and things like that went down quite a lot.
3. However, because of the scar tissue, my nasal tip is still hard. It doesn’t feel like there’s an implant inside.. but anyway, it’s hard. Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s so unnatural or hard that only my nose stands stiffly when I move my facial expressions like when I had an implant, so don’t worry.
4. At first, for about 2 months? there was something like a capsule remaining on the nasal bridge, but now it has completely disappeared, so my nasal bridge and glabella have become flat haha. During consultations, some doctors said the nasal bridge would collapse even more than my original nose before surgery, and some told me to put in a thin collagen pad? or something like that, so I felt down. But honestly I don’t really remember my original bridge that well.. Anyway, it definitely looks much flatter. I just hope the previous doctor didn’t shave my nasal bridge...(honestly, when I think of that doctor, only curses come out)
5. In conclusion, I agree with the saying that it becomes a third nose. In my case, it really became a third nose. You could say it’s between my old nose and my surgical nose. My original nasal tip was a bit droopy, but it has lifted slightly, and that said, it doesn’t look like an upturned nose or a lifted nose. My surgical nose had been very upturned.. so I think after it came down, this is about where it ended up. I’m satisfied.
6. When consulting, clearly communicate exactly what you want, and only proceed when the doctor clearly shows that they understand it well and will fully reflect it. My nose had become so crooked because of the silicone and scar tissue, so I talked a lot about asymmetry, and they really paid attention and balanced it well. They also reassured me a lot afterward, which was a huge comfort. Of course, they also took good care of postoperative prescriptions and ointments. Looking back now, the doctor at the hospital where I had my past cosmetic surgery ignored what I said even before surgery, and it seems like we couldn’t communicate at all.. Only after I showed them the side effects did they back down.
7. Don’t be swayed too much by the reviews here.. I think it’s right to leave it to fate and go onto the operating table with a humble mindset. People around me who researched information and had surgery around the same time are all living just fine... I removed mine with a desperate feeling that even if side effects happened from removal, it would still be better than now.
Honestly, if I wrote everything about this, there would be no end.. so I’ll stop here. I hope everyone succeeds! Even if someone handed me money and offered to pay for a nose surgery, I would refuse. I hope you all remove yours and fully enjoy that refreshed feeling...! I’ll answer the rest in the comments.
ps. It’s been so long that I don’t remember the removal costㅜㅜ.. it was 3 years ago. But I remember it being around the going rate for removal here. I think it was quite expensive, but now that I think about it, I also feel it was worth that amount.. It took quite a long time, and it was a difficult surgery where the doctor carefully reflected all my requests and worked very delicately. It wasn’t just removal; they had to remove scar tissue, adjust cartilage, and do this and that, so it may even be harder than regular nose surgery..
