It’s hard to see because of the strong brightening app effect, but the cartilage show-through was really severe><Photo on the day of surgery><Current condition of my nose>It has been 4 months since I had Medpor + silicone + ear cartilage removed through open rhinoplasty.
My nose was really a mess until I had everything removed. I had rhinoplasty 6 years ago, and people often complimented my nose, saying the outer shape was pretty, but as time went by my skin kept getting thinner, the cartilage show-through became severe, and I was so stressed by the asymmetry, though I couldn’t show it.. haha In particular, the more friction there was on my nose, the more pressure and discomfort I felt. Of course it hurt, and it felt like the nasal tip was going to protrude out.
Since I got my nose surgery when I was young without knowing anything, just at some local clinic, mine may have been an even more botched case. I really didn’t look into anything at all before doing it. As proof of that, I had surgery using Medpor. So the side effects probably came sooner. Not only did I feel a foreign-body sensation in my nose, but the inside of my nose became dry, making it hard to breathe, and the nasal tip was so hard that I could feel something, whether Medpor or cartilage, as if it was about to break through. I was really severely stressed. Honestly, it was to the point that I didn’t want to live.
After removal, I am so, so, so comfortable. I don’t even know whether the contraction period I worried about most ever came, and now that 4 months have passed, I just pick my nose with my finger and blow my nose hard and live normally. Compared with before removal, my nose is much softer and more pliable, so I’m satisfied. It will get even, even, even softer than it is now, and above all, the fact that there is nothing in my nose gives me such peace of mind.. On top of that, no one even notices.. I feel empty..
If you’re worried, I recommend getting it removed as soon as possible. I put it off because the money felt like a waste, and I deeply regret the time I delayed. It’s this comfortable.. and there isn’t even this huge difference.. Why did I live with it like a ticking time bomb..? I thought my nose was in a really severe state, so I worried about side effects after removal until the moment I was being anesthetized on the day of surgery, but compared with the side effects before removal, it was nothing. My nose is so comfortable now.
Rhinoplasty is really meaningless.. After removing it, I wonder, over only this much difference..? Did I really suffer this much emotionally and physically? If you’re worried, definitely get it removed. You’ll save yourself a lot of stress. I got information and comfort from this community, so I’m posting my review.
