Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

Review after 3 and a half months

It seems quite a lot of people are curious about how I'm doing ㅠㅠ When I come in and look around sometimes, it feels like there are really a lot more people on the removal board. I guess that means nose surgery is that unpredictable and high-risk. In the past, if people were curious about something or had misunderstood something, I would leave comments, but new people keep coming in, so there is no end to it ㅠㅠ I don't come in much anymore.

Anyway, I did not have my nasal bridge done. I only had my nasal tip extended using septal cartilage, ear cartilage, and donated costal cartilage. There are probably still many people who get confused between a strut and extension. If you go to Hwang Ji-hoon's blog, it explains it in detail. But in most cases, you can just think of it as extension. Even if your own nose was not a short nose or an upturned nose, if you want to project the nasal tip forward, there is no choice but to use a strut, and clinics that truly operate with only a strut can probably be counted on one hand. Almost all of them are extensions using a strut...

To get to the point, based on what I have experienced, reviews I have seen, and things I have heard, it seems like almost everyone who had extension or a strut cannot go back to their original nose. It seems like in almost 90% of cases, the nose becomes slightly shorter and more upturned than the original nose? That is the case for me too.

Compared with the contraction phase at two months, it has loosened a lot, so the pulling sensation and pain are less. But it is still hard. They said this would take six months to a year... My original nose was slightly droopy and had a lowered columella, but now it is shorter and the droopiness is gone. My original nose was prettier... Once you touch it, of course it cannot be exactly the same... The foreign-body sensation is all gone, and the scar tissue that had built up inside my nose also seems to have gone down a lot.

Everyone, do not get your nose done ㅠㅠ When I see the nose surgery board or the posts that were all over Facebook promoting apps like Gangnam Unni, it frustrates me. Do not risk your whole life just to look pretty for a few years. It is gambling... And who guarantees that everyone becomes prettier after plastic surgery? If a drawing is ruined, you can draw a new one, but if your face is ruined, are you going to be born again? Revision surgery is not that easy either... Are they certain you can become pretty again if you get revision surgery? It is all a hamster wheel ㅠㅠㅠ Let go of greed...
