I had nose surgery without implants 2 years ago, but a lot was absorbed and my nasal tip seemed to have drooped a lot, so I went around looking for revision surgery and ended up doing it at Sugar Plastic Surgery! Good points: • Sugar provides extremely good care. After surgery, for 2-3 weeks I came in every week, and the director checked me and I received scar injections and swelling laser treatment. • They say the director operates on only about one person a day. So the environment was comfortable, and I liked that it did not feel like a surgery factory. • After surgery, my face became considerably prettier. The hump was shaved down, the bridge that had been very deviated was partially corrected, the bulbous nose became slightly smaller, and the nostril wings became an appropriate size. As a result, unlike before, my face became cuter and my impression feels very comfortable. And the best thing is that it does not look overly operated on. I was worried it might become a pinched nose or an upturned nose, but it gives a natural impression with smooth, appropriately sized nostril wings. I think I was right to have the surgery. Disappointing points: • They said that on top of the initially contracted cost, if donated costal cartilage needed to be used during surgery, an additional cost of 1.5 million won would be incurred. During the consultation, I felt they spoke as if it was unlikely that it would be done, but on the day of surgery, the consultant called and notified me once again that an additional cost could arise if donated costal cartilage was used. Even then, they said they would try to proceed in a direction that avoided additional cost as much as possible, but in the end I paid the additional cost. The director must have used it because it was necessary during surgery, but because it was not a small amount, I felt upset. If possible, finding a way to agree on the first contract would help patients make a better decision. Even if you are told that additional costs could arise, you naturally end up running a wishful-thinking circuit that it will not apply to you. • During the consultation, they lifted the height of my nose with a cotton swab and explained the plan for what they would do, but it was disappointing that I could not know the expected nose style at all. I decided on surgery after seeing reviews and trusting that the doctor, as an expert, would take care of it well. That was because I thought it would be the same no matter which hospital I went to. If I were to have surgery again, I think I would search as much as possible at home for ways to estimate what kind of nose suits me, then consult sufficiently with the doctor before surgery. This was my mistake. • I think it is good that because I had surgery without implants, my nose does not look overly surgically enhanced. However, although I did not raise the nasal bridge, and had the hump shaved, reinforcement with ear cartilage, and nostril reduction, the nasal tip feels like it rises steeply compared with the bridge. It has more of a semi-upturned shape than a straight nose. If you want a straight nose, it would be good to consult with the director. My impression so far is that the nasal tip is a little higher compared with the bridge, so I am not sure if it suited my face. But since the swelling has not completely gone down yet, I think it would be best to judge after close to 1 year has passed. Human desire seems endless, so even though I became much prettier, I cannot help imagining whether I might have become even prettier if I had made my nose this or that shape. 6-month review: Now I think only minor swelling remains!! It is extremely natural, and I wondered why I spent so long debating whether to do it!! It is implant-free, but the bridge is high and has a natural-yet-glamorous feel. I have not had any particular side effects yet.
