I had the removal done at ㄱㅇㅅ, and the reason I chose that hospital was that ㄱㅇㅅ suggested complete removal through a closed approach, while ㅅㅅㅇ suggested an open approach and said the nose could lift, so they recommended leaving some ear cartilage. I wanted complete removal without leaving anything behind for peace of mind, so I had the surgery at ㄱㅇㅅ Both directors were kind and explained things well
Before surgery, I had a consultation with the director, and while explaining the surgical method, he said it was such an easy surgery that there wasn’t much more to explain and told me not to worry, so I had the surgery with peace of mind The surgery was done under sedation, and I had the silicone removed, the ear cartilage at the nasal tip removed, the capsule removed, and cartilage repositioning. After the surgery, I slept in the recovery room for about an hour, and when I came to, the director came in and showed me all the removed silicone, capsule, and cartilage, and explained that the surgery went well
When the splint was removed, the nasal bridge was incredibly swollen and looked like Avatar. Today, at one week, a lot of the swelling has gone down, but the bridge is still a bit puffy, so I hope it goes down more..
The thing I was most worried about while considering removal was my nose lifting, but so far there is no upturning My natural nose had no glabella height at all, and the nasal tip still had a little height. I don’t have photos of my natural nose, so I can’t compare, but the tip seems similar to my surgical nose, and the bridge has become much lower at the glabella like my natural nose. Since the silicone near the glabella was 5 mm, I think it will get even lower from hereㅠㅠ Right now, when I touch it, the glabella feels soft and squishy, so I think it looks slightly higher because of swelling
I am worried about the contraction period and changes in nose shape that may come in the future, but compared to the anxiety I had about side effects when I had silicone, I feel much more at ease Even if I got just a pimple on my nose, I couldn’t sleep and would search whether it was inflammation, and if I bumped it even slightly, I was so stressed that something might have gone wrong. Now I don’t have to worry about those things, so I’m really glad ㅎ ㅡㅎ
Oh, and the director said he doesn’t really recommend Rizaben, saying there isn’t much difference whether you take it or not, but many patients take it because they see it online and feel anxious, so if I want to take it, I can. So for now I only got the prescription and didn’t pick up the medication. Would it be better to take Rizaben?
