Nose Surgery Reviews

Had revision surgery for a contracted nose as a man—what do you think?

Information: bridge—4 mm silicone; tip—septum + donor rib; bulbous-nose correction + alar reduction + crooked-nose correction. I will write this first in case anyone is wondering. Before revision surgery, capsular contracture had made my nose look uglier than its original state. I am not very perceptive, so I did not notice halfway through, and only went to the clinic for a consultation when it had become very severely upturned. Then I had revision surgery. Looking at it now, I am a million times glad I had the revision, haha.... I did not touch any other part of my face, but my overall impression looks much cleaner. I had my first surgery with ear cartilage three years ago, and perhaps because of that, the interval before lying on the operating table again was quite short. This time, I wanted the result to last, so I asked the doctor to recommend materials that would hold well and suit my current condition. I had surgery using septal cartilage and donor rib cartilage, and I am satisfied with the stronger support I feel now compared with before. Since the tip was very upturned, I was anxious about whether the columella could be improved, but the tip shape turned out well, and the line and height look natural without feeling excessive. Everyone around me praised me, saying I had done the right thing by having revision surgery, hahaha. I expected recovery to take longer because it was revision surgery, but it was not much different from the first surgery, and I returned to daily life right after the splint was removed. When I read reviews here and there, people seemed to work hard on swelling care, but I was too lazy to do that. I simply followed the instructions about what not to do so it would not get infected, haha.... Maybe because I do not swell much and any swelling goes down quickly, but I was fine. What I realized through this revision surgery is that the doctor's experience and career are both important, but choosing a line and material suited to me is probably the best option. Of course, the doctor's skill has to support that, so the conclusion is that you need to find a place that is good at it, hahaha.
