They said both no-implant surgery and a custom implant are possible surgical methods. The director said that if I’m not set on having a higher nasal bridge, no implant would be fine too. If done without an implant, they would use ear cartilage + septal cartilage for the nasal tip, shave the hump slightly for the nasal bridge, grind the remaining septal cartilage and cartilage and graft it into the step-off, and also do a counter-rotation graft to reduce the upturned-nose look (but personally, I don’t really want cartilage crushed and inserted) If using custom silicone, they would not shave the hump or grind cartilage for grafting, and would just insert the implant; for the nasal tip, they suggested ear cartilage + septal cartilage + counter-rotation grafting. When I said I was reluctant to use septal cartilage because of double-jaw surgery, the director said that since the nasal tip would not be raised much anyway, there was no need to use autologous costal cartilage right away. It would be done under sedation anesthesia, with no anesthesiologist stationed separately Out of the four places, I liked this one because they gave the best consultation, and it was good that they drew the line over the CT image so I could see the line intuitively The director and consultant were kind too, and there was no pressure to pay a deposit. It was a clinic I liked, except for the use of septal cartilage. But I’m not that drawn to it, so I probably won’t have surgery there.
