Nose Surgery Reviews

Made Young community review

There wasn’t much of a wait, and the consultation with the director took about 20 minutes. The director was cheerful and gave a good consultation. But this was the only place where I was told my septum was short. So they said there wasn’t much septal cartilage to use and immediately suggested using autologous costal cartilage. They said not to shave down the hump on the nasal bridge, but to slightly fill above it with silicone, use autologous costal cartilage for the lower nasal bridge + use autologous costal cartilage for the nasal tip (it seemed like the director preferred autologous costal cartilage + general anesthesia) They said implant-free surgery could also be used, but because I have a retruded chin and protruding eyes, while my glabella is relatively recessed, if only the nasal tip were done, it would look like only my nose was standing too sharply, so they recommended placing silicone. They said the surgery would be done under general anesthesia and would take around an hour and a half; because it’s a somewhat larger hospital, they said there are 3 anesthesiologists on site. The consultant wasn’t unfriendly, but the pressure to pay a deposit was very strong, and she had a lot of pride in the director’s career. Also, this was my first nose consultation, but she said I had come to the right place so I shouldn’t go consult elsewhere and should do it here. When she asked where else I was going for consultations and I told her, she said that place wasn’t good, and that I’d end up coming to their hospital for revision surgery anyway, so I should just make myself comfortable and do it here. Things like that felt like she was recommending it a bit excessively. I just subtly don’t want to go with hospitals that pressure me, so I didn’t put down a deposit and just left.
