1. Cartilage type / surgical method and time I didn’t touch anything else at all. I had surgery where they took only septal cartilage, placed it between the cartilages as a support graft, and tied it with sutures It could be done with a closed approach They went in through the inside of the nose, cut the tied sutures, and removed only the septal cartilage, and they said the procedure was very simple. However, since visibility is not secured, they said if it didn’t slip out as expected, they might have to do an open approach at that point My closed approach was successful... The surgery time was very short, about 10-20 minutes. I think it was possible because my nose had barely been manipulated. Among those who want to remove a septal support graft, if anyone is thinking, “I want to remove only the support graft and leave the cartilage suturing as is!”..... I want to say that it is impossible with a closed approachㅜㅜ Just have revision surgery later
2. Aftercare - Since there is absolutely nothing inside the nose, they said there is no need to take medication for contracture. Cold compresses and warm compresses are also all the same as after the first surgery. But since it was a closed approach, there is less swelling, so once the feeling of blood going down passes... I’m just going to sleep lying down moderately What I personally was most curious about hehe: alcohol and smoking after removal surgery Since I’m the type who can’t live without alcohol and cigarettes.... to just give the conclusion, Because there’s nothing in the nose after removal surgery, they said you only need to avoid them for about 2 weeks? 3 weeks if being careful? I’ll see how recovery goes and slowly... start revving up from week 2 haha At the plastic surgery clinic where I had surgery, when I said I wanted removal after just 2 weeks, they only asked once or twice if it wasn’t a waste, and then willingly scheduled it for me. They didn’t charge me a single won either. It was probably even more so because it was a simple surgery, but I really chose the clinic well!
3. Shape, side effects Because I had an open approach, they simply said it can’t be perfectly identical to before surgery, but well... it will be almost the same Before surgery, I had a droopy arrow-shaped nose that spread a lot and came down a lot when I smiled. I asked whether after surgery my nose might spread more or come down more, and they said, “Uh... it probably won’t.” What can I do, I have to trust them.... Since I had a closed approach, side effects were minimized, but they still told me about the possibility of blood pooling inside the nose or scar tissue forming. When you raise the nose, the skin stretches that much, and there shouldn’t be empty space inside the body, so after removal, they said they have to press down the empty soft tissue by placing cotton inside and outside the nose for 3 days. Still, it’s not taped so tightly that you can’t move at all like right after the first surgery! They said it will be removed after 3 days.

Other Maybe because the surgery time was short, unlike the first surgery, they didn’t even tell me to count out loud from 10 to 1 and just put me under anesthesia right away I drifted off and then suddenly woke up on the operating table Everyone was really surprised. They said I woke up very early.... The anesthesia hadn’t worn off, so I talked a lot of nonsense. The director said anesthesia is related to drinking capacity and asked, “You must drink well~” and I think I said, “Yes, I really like drinking hehe I’m going to drink.” Right afterward, they sat me up and showed me my nose in a mirror. I remember that, but I don’t remember the shape of my nose....ㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜ sob I just roughly nodded my head The director showed me the septal cartilage they removed. It was about the size of one of those fake press-on nails, like a pinky nail? That was inside. As expected, since the anesthesia hadn’t worn off, I asked, “Can’t you put that back in my nose?” and they coldly said, “No, we can’t. I’ll throw it away,” and went and threw it away.... My septal cartilage that shrank in just 2 weeks, what a waste, sob sob Once the chill left my body, I got dressed and came out. The “a-i-u-e-o” that I hadn’t been able to do during those two weeks suddenly worked right away Those who have support grafts know, right? That hardness you feel at the columella when you go “woo~”.... The moment I could make the “woo” sound, I was so happy I screamed I’m so happy and feel so good now that the foreign-body sensation of something shifting is gone even when I tilt my head For those hesitating about removal!
