Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

Day 7 after complete removal

Before<Side view one week after complete nose removal><Front view><Columella scar>*Reason for complete removal: nasal tip cartilage visibility *Surgical process: complete removal of silicone and ear cartilage, cartilage repositioning, and the existing cartilage was crushed and grafted over the area where the skin had thinned *Please refer to my previous post for details (hospital and surgery-related)

Day 7 I visited the hospital and had the internal stitches removed. It stung a lot, but it was bearable. I thought I was managing it well in my own way, barely talking and resting as the hospital instructed, but my columella was a bit swollenㅠㅠ The director saw it and told me not to talk much and to brush my teeth gently too. I got one injection in the buttock, was prescribed 3 more days of medication, and even Rizaben... Maybe because plastic surgery medication is too strong for me, whenever I take the medicine my head feels dizzy and I feel nauseous, so it’s hard. But I’m scared inflammation might happen, so I’m forcing myself to endure it and take it. Plastic surgery medication is not covered by insurance, so the medication alone cost 100,000 won in totalㅠㅠ

As for bruising and swelling, I think this amount after one week means it’s going down really quickly. Since there’s no implant inside my nose, recovery seems fast. Still, I have yellow bruising for now, so a mask is essential. Yesterday I felt stuffy, so I wore a mask and went shopping and stuff.

The nasal swelling will probably go down a lot more after another week, and my nasal bridge may disappear. My friend saw it and said she actually hopes the nasal bridge swelling doesn’t go down any further, and that it looks much better than when I had silicone. I’ve already let go mentally, so I just hope the columella scar heals quickly haha. I also want to put on a lot of cleansing foam and scrub my face hard when washing.

Before removal, I worried and agonized a lot, but after doing it, mentally it’s much more stable than nose surgery, and recovery is faster too, so I think I did well getting it done. I’m attaching photos, so I hope this helps those who are considering removal:)

I’ll post another review once all the bruising is gone!
