Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

Full removal (silicone septal strut, extension removal) 50 days?

I promised I’d post a one-month review in this community and then forgot about itㅜ That’s how well I’ve been living my daily life and how completely free I’ve been from stress about my nose^

After removal, my nose is natural enough that there is almost no residual swelling and there’s no contracture period, no scar tissue? swelling? like a cherry tomato at the nasal tip, nothing like that If there was a contracture period, what I felt before the splint was removed was a pulling, tightening sensation at the nasal tip? a feeling that the nose was lifting? for about two or three days, just slightly But after the splint was removed, I don’t think there was a contracture period

Anyway, what I’m most satisfied with is that the arrow nose/witch nose feeling when smiling is gone The external nose shape that used to feel hard and fixed like a wooden stick (as if I were some Pinocchio..), the psychological burden, and the foreign-body sensation are all gone..

In short, it just feels natural and light

When I think about it now, I regret wondering why I couldn’t remove it sooner and suffered alone but on the other hand, after worrying and searching for over a year, I feel like I found the hospital that suited me, so I’m still relieved

If I had removed it in a rush like when I first had surgery, I might have regretted it again, and I think the fact that I had a hard time because of my nose makes me even more satisfied now

Now, if only the open columellar scar heals well, I really won’t have any worries. In the end, it was going to return to my original nose anyway, but because I had surgery and then removal, my nose was opened and closed twice, so only a straight open-incision scar remains under my noseㅜ ah...

Now I’m managing it by applying Lidomex under my nose and sometimes putting on Cica-Care too I just hope the scar disappears cleanly
