I’m 3 months post alar reduction! Three months have passed, so I came back to leave another review! After I started applying scar ointment, it seemed to heal faster, and now I can tell, but I think it has healed a lot to the point that others don’t notice it. Compared with the 1-month mark, I think the swelling has gone down a bit more now. To my eye, it looks a little higher than my old nose, so honestly I really hope my nose shape settles like this! lol It’s very natural, so if you want your nose to look higher or want a dramatic change, I don’t think alar reduction is the right surgery for you. If you want the feeling of just the alars becoming prettier and smaller based on your original nose height, I think you’ll definitely be satisfied! For those stressed about their alars, the cost may be less manageable than expected, but since alar surgery is irreversible, I really think it should be done somewhere very skilled! I highly recommend it
