Surgery details: nasal tip cartilage repositioning + tying + ear cartilage strut & nasal tip Surgery on day 17 as an early-removal case
Reason for removal: psychological reasons (It really turned out pretty and natural, but... for personal reasons, I had made the decision impulsively when I was psychologically anxious, so I felt the operated nose would remain a wound for me for a long time.)
Removal details: complete removal of ear cartilage + cartilage repositioning (as close to the original appearance as possible) + slight tying with dissolvable sutures
Because the cartilage had already been repositioned narrowly & high, it couldn’t return 100% to my original nose. They said they would make it as close to the original shape as possible, but tying was still necessary, so they repositioned it similarly to the original shape and tied it slightly with dissolvable sutures.
During the consultation, since it was an early removal, I was naturally more worried, so I brought up scar tissue and contracture first and got answers. They said scar tissue forms in everyone, and if it forms excessively, the nose can become upturned, but in reality even the doctor cannot know what will happen, so they could not guarantee anything. However, they said the advantage was that there had been no inflammation during the first surgery, while my thick, oily skin type could work as a disadvantage, so there was a 20-30% chance that scar tissue could cause the nose to become shorter and upturned. It was definitely scary, but I still lay down on the operating table hoping that would not happen.
I do not plan to upload photos, and I will post reviews divided into 2 weeks / 1 month / 3 months / 6 months.
They said scar tissue starts forming from one month after the first surgery, and since I had it removed after 2 weeks, I plan to start posting from 2 weeks after removal. I will focus on how that contraction period went over the two weeks, whether it improves after 3 months, and whether the softness and other aspects completely return to the original state after 6 months.
