Hello, I had surgery today ㅜ ㅜ
My skin is thin, and with a nasal implant in place, as time went by, it gradually started showing through like a piece of chalk, and although I was told the nasal tip would come down, it kept turning upward and looked like a pig nose, so I finally had it removed.
For the clinic, I only had a consultation at one place. I did it a bit urgently because I wanted to have surgery during the holiday, but the doctor, the manager, and everyone at the front desk were all kind, and they looked at my old photos and explained things in detail, so I decided to go with them.
They proceeded with light sedation + local anesthesia, so I woke up in the middle and could feel the surgery being done, but it was less scary than I expected, so I felt relieved while having the surgery.
For now, my nose has a splint? and taping on it, so I can’t see it, so I can’t really say anything about it, but my nose is packed with cotton, so it’s so hard. I took a 1-hour nap and I think I woke up 10 times ㅜㅜ What am I going to do at night?
They said if it’s too hard, I should keep it fully blocked for about 24 hours and then remove at least one side, and if I can endure a bit more, then on the evening of day 2, so Sunday, I can remove it, but I’ll try to bear it... Even though I’m drinking a ton of water, my throat is bone-dry ㅜㅜ How did everyone endure this.. Do you have any tips??
I’ll upload photos later after removing the splint? For now, I’m attaching a photo of the removed Gore-Tex. It’s very soft.
