I asked whether it would be better to do both sides, but they firmly recommended doing only one side and doing the other side only if it comes undone. They tell you to ask if you have any questions, ask things like whether you usually wear makeup, and recommend a line accordingly. They also explain the surgical method with drawings and tend to give a thorough consultation.
