I got a long vacation from work, so I decided and went through with it super impulsively! I thought about doing it in Seoul, but I just had the surgery near my house at a place known for doing cataract surgery well. I chose it because the director performs the LASEK surgery personally and they only do 8 cases a day, so I thought it would be a bit safer.
When you look for LASEK surgery clinics, there are factory-style places and clinics like the one I went to that only take a few patients, and choosing between the two seems like a matter of preference?! Factory-style places feel reassuring because they have a lot of surgical experience, and the place I went to felt reassuring because they looked after things carefully haha
After the surgery, for the first day I wasn't really in much pain, maybe because of the anesthetic, but days 2-3 were seriously hell + pain ㅠㅠ I couldn't see well either, so I was so scared, wondering what if I could never see again, and since I couldn't use my phone, I was so bored and all.. But strangely, the pain disappeared on day 4, and on day 5 I found the light ㅋㅋㅋ As for side effects I felt after surgery, people usually talk a lot about glare/halos, but I already had that before the surgery,, and on days when I'm not tired, it actually feels like the glare/halos are less??? For dry eye, my eyes are dry when I open them in the morning, but it was like that when I wore contacts too, so honestly I don't think I have any major side effects. Except that because I look at my phone a lot, it feels like I see a little less clearly than at one month after surgery^^,,,
Anyway, even if I went back, I'd still get LASEK. I'm so satisfied~
