I originally had vision around -9 and -10 with astigmatism too, so I couldn’t do LASIK or LASEK and had lens implantation. My corneas are thick, so LASEK was technically possible, but regardless of corneal thickness, because such a large amount would have to be ablated, it would not be fatal, but there were many related side effects I would have to accept, so I chose lens implantation. For a while after surgery, daily life was a bit inconvenient because I had to be careful about things like inflammation, but I could see well right away the next day! Now I’m living sooooo comfortably
