I had a consultation about removing the silicone from a nose surgery I had 6 years ago. When I mentioned possible side effects after removal, such as contracture or shape distortion, he tended to strongly insist that such things would absolutely not happen. The consultation didn’t feel comfortable, and I think I felt more flustered than anything else.
