It has now been one month since the removal. Since I got a lot of information from this community, I also wanted to make sure to leave a review someday if I ever had the removal done, so I’m uploading photos like this too. I debated whether to disclose the hospital name, but because of my circumstances I can’t look at my phone much and may not be able to reply to each person one by one, so I’ll leave it here all at once..! Also, I have good memories because everyone at the hospital was very kind..! Before I had the removal done at first, I was scared because I couldn’t imagine what kind of nose it would become, and I even wondered if I should just not remove it. But rather than living for decades with these implants inside, I wanted to remove them for peace of mind, so after visiting two places in Seoul for consultations, I made my decision. People around me often said the surgery turned out well, just endure it and live with it, don’t remove it, but for me the shape wasn’t what mattered.. At the hospital, they told me that because my nose had not been manipulated a lot, it was not the kind of nose that would lift up, and that it would return to something similar to my original nose. As you can see in the photos, my original nose was a bulbous nose, the nasal tip drooped slightly downward, and when I smiled it became an arrow-shaped nose. After surgery, the nasal tip, toward the columella, came down even more, so when I smiled the arrow-shaped nose became worse. My eyes are on the longer side, and after putting in silicone, the area between my eyebrows looked a bit closer together (a subtle phenomenon you notice in photos or only you can tell). So I felt like I looked a little older tooㅠ So the director said that when removing it, they would intentionally set the columella area in a little more..! Maybe because of that, after removal my nasal tip is prettier than my old nose, and from the front it is not very bulbous either! Rather, many people around me can’t tell the difference between after surgery and after removal, and there are even people I didn’t tell at all (they didn’t notice). I realized again that it was only me who had my attention fixed on my nose all day and kept looking only at my nose, and that other people are unexpectedly not that interested in someone else’s nose. Cosmetic surgery this year became the biggest turning point in my life. I had also decided to get rhinoplasty too easily and impulsively, and I regretted it a lot. Appearance isn’t everything, so why couldn’t I have decided more carefully? I think everyone here is probably going through a very hard time. Like I was before, I think right now no matter what other people say, it probably doesn’t really register and your attention is fixed only on your nose. During that period, I also deliberately tried to focus more on my work, and with the removal date ahead, I tried not to waste each day. After my nose surgery, I had about two months that I just pointlessly lost.. (I also became depressed and had no appetite.) After that, I pulled myself together and deliberately tried to go outside more, met and talked with people who cared for me, and focused on work. Once I emptied my mind, I was actually rather calm even on the day of removal! Even after removal, I don’t look in the mirror much to check my nose, and I’m living diligently! My words may not have been much comfort, but hard times do all pass. We can’t know the future, but I think it’s important to think positively. When I was struggling a lot, my dad told me, “There may be trials, but there is no failure”! He said it was something a famous person said, but I don’t really remember that part. I recorded those words and listened to them every day before sleeping and whenever I was having a hard time. I hope everything goes well for everyone here, and I hope you all stay strong!
