Dr. Yoon at ㅁㅏㅂㅡㄹ I used ear cartilage and septal cartilage for my nose. I didn’t settle on a specific line; I just had it done to suit my face, because my nasal tip/alar area was a complex of mine. It’s been about a month, and for now I’m satisfied with the result. I asked for it to look natural, and it really does look natural. It’s not that there’s no difference from before surgery, but it looks believable enough that someone could think it was originally my nose?? I’m not sure whether they’re also good at dramatic noses.
Also, it’s genuinely inconvenient in daily life, so know that before doing it.. You can’t make big facial expressions, even talking feels awkward until about a month, and you can’t laugh either lol ㅠㅠㅠ Of course, my complex was severe so I accepted all of that and did it, but I heard some people get early removal because of the discomfort. I really hope you know it’s uncomfortable before you do it.
When I first consulted with the director, he was quite curt, so I didn’t like that much, but I trusted that he clearly said no to things that weren’t possible. He said very firmly that something couldn’t be done haha.. On the day of surgery and at follow-up visits, he was kind. I’ve heard there’s been a lot of talk lately about issues with kindness. Aftercare is.. hmm... it really feels like they do only the basics. Still, the staff are kind.
I didn’t put in silicone because I didn’t want problems to happen. I did it thinking that even if my nose droops, it would still be better than my original nose. They say the biggest side effect when using septal cartilage is a saddle nose, so please decide after consulting sufficiently with your doctor about this. People say never get rhinoplasty, but I did it because my complex was truly too severe. Instead, I promised myself not to get greedy. If it’s just that you want a prettier nose, I think it’s right not to do it.
