<The dermis was all absorbed><My nose is bumpy, crooked, and a mess>I’m someone who had revision rhinoplasty after 8 years, and it was completely botched. I posted several times on another forum, and the hospital contacted me telling me to delete the posts, so I stayed quiet for a while. But next month will be 6 months, so I need to start looking into another revision soon, and this community doesn’t seem to have brokers, so I’m writing again like this.
The place where I had surgery is a clinic near Gangnam Station, and I had surgery using dermis + ear cartilage. During the consultation with the doctor, he emphasized his own special technique, saying he was in the top 1% in Korea, that with his technique, even if the nasal bridge was raised with dermis, it would barely be absorbed, that implants would only cause more side effects in skin that had already worsened from multiple revision surgeries, that costal cartilage has a tendency to warp, that more than 80% of the dermis remains, and that ear cartilage alone is enough to extend the nasal tip length. Because he kept talking about his own special technique~ technique, I really believed him like an idiot and had the surgery..^^ Before the surgery, I also asked the consultant whether dermis gets absorbed, whether it would be okay, and what would happen if it got absorbed later, and she said their doctor is different, that he has his own technique.
So I had the surgery, and within a month and a half, almost all the dermis was absorbed. I went to two university hospitals, and the doctors were surprised. They said there was no dermis..^^ And the nasal tip is so bumpy too. I developed social anxiety and depression, and I’m sure other victims are the same, but after my nose was ruined, nothing in my life is going right.. Next month will be 6 months, so I hope I can quickly get revision surgery and this time, if only I could go back to looking like a person, no, even just back to how I looked before, I would have no other wish.
