Actually, this is not a fresh review.. I had the surgery in 2016. I only recently found out about this community, so I’m writing this while recalling old memories. This was my second time. To be precise, if I include the removal of the nasal implant, I had gone under the knife three times. It wasn’t intentional, and I didn’t want it, but because the first surgery went wrong, I had no choice. Ah~ I didn’t have my first surgery here. I had it done in 2001 at HanXX Plastic Surgery in Myeongdong.. At the time, the consultation was awful, and I remember even the doctor seemed unsure while doing the surgery. As expected.. about 5 years later, the implant started moving, and maybe because contracture developed, my nose bent to one side. So in 2007, I had the implant removed for 400,000 won at a plastic surgery clinic in Uijeongbu, and I was living without any intention of having surgery again.. but the crooked nasal tip stayed the same, and the area right above the glabella protruded in a round shape, and I couldn’t figure out why. So this time, I decided to look for somewhere that would do it properly, and after searching around, I thought that even if it was a bit expensive, a place with a proper anesthesiologist on-site would be better. I was deciding between Gangnam and Apgujeong and chose this place. The doctor said my nose was.. hmm.. from the start, my skin was too thin, and it was a difficult nose to make proportional starting from the forehead line, so increasing the height would be almost impossible. He said he would still do his best, but I might not be satisfied.. since he said raising it itself would be difficult, and I was more interested in restoring my deformed nose than becoming prettier, I said okay. And under general anesthesia, he used ear cartilage to fix and straighten the crooked nasal tip, and also inserted silicone to slightly refine and support the nasal bridge. Honestly, after surgery, when it was still a little swollen, my nose looked a bit higher and I liked it more ^^;; After everything settled, it looked almost like it had been raised but not quite, yet it gave a slightly sharper impression, wasn’t obvious, and turned out neat. I liked my nasal tip best before any surgery because it was round and cute, but since it had already changed from surgery anyway, I decided to live satisfied with how it is now. However.. one thing to be careful about is.. I don’t know whether this was missed because he is a plastic surgery specialist, or whether he actually left it that way on purpose, but I was congenitally narrow in the breathing passage, and it may also have become worse because of the side effects from the first plastic surgery. It turned out I had a deviated septum. I only found that out recently when I went to an ENT clinic, but after the second surgery, the already narrow area became even narrower, and when I sleep, I can’t breathe at all through one side of my nose.. it has become difficult. So I’m considering whether I need to go under the knife a fourth time. This time, not for cosmetic surgery, but to correct the internal shape of my nose. I’m sick of it. Really.. ㅠ In the end, the surgery was done well, and aside from there being no meal provided, it was a hospital whose clean way of handling things I liked.. but I do feel some regret that if the consultation had been more in-depth.. maybe the impact on my daily life would have been a bit less.
