12 years ago, I had surgery with silicone + septal cartilage, but I’m thinking about revision because the silicone is showing through. I went for consultations at a few places and even got CT scans, and they said that as my nasal tip got absorbed, the silicone on the bridge started showing through. I think my thin skin also played a part.
The problem is, everyone suggested lowering the silicone, but with my skin being thin, is it really right to put silicone in again... I want this to be my last surgery, but I don’t know if it’ll be problem-free for 40-50 years in this state. If I go with autologous dermis, I worry that because of the shape and absorption, I’ll just be paying money to make a scar on my butt ㅠㅠ Going implant-free seems hard because I think my original nose was way too low (the bridge had 3 mm and the dorsum had 5 mm in it.. hahaha)
Do you all think silicone is right even for revision surgery? What if I end up needing a third surgery tooㅠㅠ
