I had surgery in January 2022. As far as I know, the clinic was established in 2020. But I did have surgery there when it hadn’t been long since they opened, right? (I only recently found out it hadn’t been open for very long lololol) Because of my personality, I don’t go around checking several places. Once I’m drawn to one place, I go with the mindset that I should do it there, so I had the consultation that day, booked right away, and had the surgery lololololol (I went after seeing a Gangnam Unni event) Before surgery, you sign a contract, and there was one line in the contract that felt a bit… unsettling, but after thinking about it briefly, I figured I was going to have the surgery anyway and that it was all-or-nothing, so I went for it.. To be exact, I had XV lifting (deep cheek fat), double-chin liposuction, and double-chin muscle tying.
On day 1, the day of surgery, the swelling was extremely severe. I was literally a full moon.. Because I was busy with work (I work from home), I spent the whole day working and couldn’t do compresses, so I think my face stayed very swollen for almost 6 months. (Even though the doctor who operated on me said I was very swollen and told me to do compresses, I didn’t lolololololol)
Still, after about a year, my face became a full V-line and my confidence went up too! Before, I had so much facial fat that my face looked square. Back then, I think my confidence in my appearance was also pretty low.
I really thought doing the double-chin muscle tying was a good decision. From the side, it’s totally sharp like an awl. (It’s still maintained well now, so I have no double chin at all.) In posts on cafes or communities, I think I saw comments? posts saying that if you do double-chin muscle tying, your chin can necrose and side effects can be severe. But even now, 3 years later, I’m completely fine! Even if I tilt my head way back to look at the ceiling, I’m totally fine. Well, I guess it differs by clinic and by person? Anyway, for me, the side effects are probably just that the sensation under my chin is a bit dull? and that I have a scar.
Lastly, what I really, really want to say is that if the clinic tells you not to do something, you absolutely shouldn’t do it. Even though I didn’t do the compresses the clinic told me I had to do, I absolutely did not do the things they told me not to do: drinking, smoking, intense exercise, or actions that irritate the surgical area. I didn’t do them at all. I’m still living very well now, and I abso~~~~~~~lutely do not regret having the surgery (though I spent a lot of money..;;) That’s how satisfied and happy I was!
Oh right! Not long after the surgery, the swelling was so severe that I had something like cheek hollowness? But unlike what I worried about, after the swelling went down over the course of a year, it seems to have gradually disappeared! (I have no cheek hollowness at all now.) I’m writing this in case anyone is worried.
+At that time (January 2022), I paid 3.85 million won for it (Gangnam Unni event price; I had to upload surgery reviews on Gangnam Unni and Babitalk) I think it’s probably more expensive now. The quickest way to know the price is probably to go for a consultation.
