I had my first rhinoplasty using ear cartilage and septal cartilage, but the clinic I went to for a revision consultation recommended donor rib cartilage. I didn’t want to use donor rib cartilage because of inflammation concerns, but could I find out the pros and cons of autologous rib cartilage, donor rib cartilage, and ear cartilage? I’m also curious why they recommended donor rib cartilage. I’m currently looking into removing silicone because of inflammation issues, but I don’t want the shape of my nose to become deformed, so I’m planning to have removal and revision surgery together. Is there anyone who knows a lot about this kind of thing?
푸리8 I had donated costal cartilage, and I haven’t had inflammation. It’s been fine for 5 years. Honestly, I think managing it is important when it comes to changes in nose shape.
농냥농낭눙 If you’re going to use rib cartilage, use autologous costal cartilage. Don’t use donated costal cartilage. You can’t predict how much the tissue will be absorbed. That’s separate from inflammation. Search donated costal cartilage absorption on YouTube ㄱㄱ
재는이제그만 I understand that autologous costal cartilage is the strongest, so it’s the best to use for revision surgery. I understand that donated costal cartilage has different density depending on the donor’s age and has a higher absorption rate than autologous costal cartilage, so the surgical predictability is lower than with autologous costal cartilage. And they say ear cartilage is softer than costal cartilage, so it’s good to use when shaping the nasal tip~

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 Complete removal after one month due to nasal inflammation

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 I’m deciding between Asan and RU! Has anyone had surgery at Asan?ˀ̣
My nose had inflammation, so everything has been removed, and I think there’s still a little inflammation left. Considering that, I feel like Asan might be the right choice, but I’m so torn because I don’t know if the shape will turn out pr
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 Can contracture also occur with implant-free autologous costal cartilage?
Just as the title says…..
