I made appointments for revision rhinoplasty at Mind with Lee Kang-woo and at Grand with Lee Se-hwan, and of course I thought I should use rib cartilage as the material, but after looking through a community, the pros and cons are so different that I'm torn. Since it's a revision anyway, I do think I'll probably need rib cartilage, but with autologous costal cartilage, I'm worried about the scar and that the nose might end up too sharply projected, and with donated rib cartilage, it's not my own, and I've heard it gets absorbed easily.. Did everyone here who had revision surgery use autologous costal cartilage? For people who used materials other than rib cartilage, please tell me what you used. Just because it's a revision doesn't mean everyone has to use rib cartilage.
뚜쟁 I had a revision, and I did it with ear cartilage! My skin is on the thin side, and they said if I used rib cartilage, the nasal tip would keep getting redder and the skin would get even thinnerㅠ
링꾸꿍 It's not that everyone has to use rib cartilage just because it's a revision, but most people do seem to use rib cartilageㅜ If there’s some septal cartilage left, I think some cases use that too.
코해야돼 If you're going to use rib cartilage, I think autologous costal cartilage would still be safer and better.
하늘소년 Each material has its pros and cons... It's not that everyone has to use rib cartilage just because it's a revision, but people who don't have enough septal cartilage do need to use it... I was that kind of case, so I did it with autologous costal cartilage at JW Jungwon, but my nasal tip isn't that high.
코때문에정병걸림 A week ago, I used donated rib cartilage and silicone at ㅁㅇㄷ. In terms of height it's okay, but I think I'll know once the swelling goes down. If anything, it also feels like it might be too high…
