During the consultation, they told me I had protrusion and that my jaw was small. It was a case where it was hard to decide for sure between extraction and non-extraction, so we decided to determine that while proceeding. They didn’t force an extraction decision from the start, and said that since extraction can’t be reversed, we should be cautious and decide while monitoring the situation, which made me trust them. They said that in my orthodontic process, if teeth were extracted, there was a possibility I could end up looking like my mouth was sunken in?.. They said if there was even a small chance of that, it was right to start with non-extraction. Because I proceeded at first without deciding on extraction or non-extraction, it took longer than extraction orthodontics (4 years), but I’m satisfied. Orthodontic treatment wasn’t as hard as I expected. Then, in the middle, I wanted to finish because of the screw, but the director firmly said no. I’m thankful for that too.
