Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

It’s been about 2 months since I had my silicone removed~

I also read a lot of other people’s reviews in a community and got help from them, so I’m leaving one too~

It was so stressful that the bridge of my nose kept turning red, and I went to the plastic surgery clinic where I had surgery and to a dermatology clinic, but they said it didn’t seem to be silicone inflammation and looked like simple dermatitis. I felt like I would keep getting anxious and stressed whenever my nose turned red in the future too, so I decided to have it removed.

I had it removed in mid-December, and since I only had straight silicone in the nasal bridge, they talked about it like it was a simple surgery, so I took Friday off, had the surgery, and rested for 3 days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

I thought I wouldn’t swell much, but just like when I first had nose surgery, the area between my eyebrows swelled a lot and my eyes swelled too (Avatar..) I even got yellow bruisingㅠㅠ

I had surgery on Friday, and only around Tuesday did the swelling stop being severe even after waking up haha The bruising lasted about a week, but thankfully I could wear a mask ..

For a while, it hurt enough to make me flinch if I moved my facial muscles a lot or scrunched my nose, and although it still hasn’t quite been 2 full months, it’s much better now haha

When I touch my nasal bridge, there’s a spot that feels slightly indented, but it doesn’t show visually. My nasal bridge did get a bit lower, but I don’t think there’s a big difference compared to before and after surgery, and it has almost gone back to my natural nose.

For now, when I pull the skin on my face near my nose, I do feel like my nose gets pulled along too, and I think I can make a pig nose, but I’m being careful so I’m not doing it ...

Personally, my anxiety is gone, and my face doesn’t look much different from when I had the silicone, so I’m satisfied and feel at ease too. But since I didn’t have the capsule removed, they said there’s a slight possibility of contracture, so that part is bothering me a littleㅜㅜ

I went to consultations at about 3 clinics, and unlike how they all only talked as if it was simple and recovery would be quick, even though it was closed surgery, it was really scary, and for quite a while afterward it hurt a lotㅜㅜ I never want to lie on an operating table again.. ㅜㅜ

I hope this is helpful for those planning removal or thinking about it~
