Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

All removed today. Week 2 after partial removal

No, I can’t edit a post that already has comments? They made the rules so strangely. I wanted to keep writing under the previous post, but even when I want to write, I don’t want to write anymore, seriously lol

My original post covers days 4 to 6, so please check that, and I’ll continue from there. For office workers, please 참고.

Days 7 to 9: On day 7, they removed the stitches. Stitches hurt less than the splint. They also did a swelling-laser treatment for me, and I’m not sure if it helped, but I have a blue bruise on the bridge of my nose + a bad yellow bruise on the lower part of the bridge!! Even smiling feels awkward. Lifting the philtrum causes a heavy pain! Makeup can’t fully cover it. Unless you’re a makeup god, that is. I’m writing this from a regular person’s perspective. I tried bruise cream too, but it was too strong and only caused breakouts... (only the area where I applied it broke out) The two bruise creams I tried (felt like they were calming, but no effect) From this point on, I gently cleansed with oil. Still swollen.

Days 10 to 13: The yellow bruising is still there. With concealer, it only weakens a little, and there’s no pain even if I gently move side to side. I walked slowly on the treadmill for 20 minutes instead of going for a walk, and there is still a little swelling on both sides of the bridge of my nose.

Day 14: As of today, there is still a yellowish bruise on both sides of the bridge of my nose, and it shows under fluorescent lights. Still, to other people it’s only a vague shade, but I can see it clearly; if I put on BB cream, it becomes a little lighter... The swelling at the bridge of my nose is down compared with before,

The bruise on the bridge of my nose is one thing, but the problem on both sides of it is this: usually you have to cover it with concealer, but when you apply concealer, the bridge of your nose looks lower, and that’s the very area where you’re supposed to add shading. If you pile on concealer and sunscreen, it eventually looks even lower, and if you put shading on top of that, it looks ridiculous, seriously lol And the bruised area doesn’t absorb product well either..

I’d recommend about two weeks of vacation...... For peace of mind.... If that’s not possible, then about one week, and just tell people you had filler removed without getting bruisedㅎㅎ

Like I said before, I was taking omega-3 and vitamins until two days before surgery~ So maybe that’s part of it too... And I also have a bruise in the middle of the bridge of my nose, and it looks so bad ㅎㅎㅎㅎ like I got punched in the face~

The really strange thing is that I never had osteotomy, but it’s a bit bumpy. I don’t know if it’s swelling. It’s exactly the part where the silicone and the nasal tip used to meet ㅋㅋ At that moment I was like, wait, I definitely had it removed, so why is it still bumpy??? That’s what I was thinking But I’m at peace. So what if it’s bumpy lolㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I’ll just live like that. The bridge of my nose still hurts if I touch it~

Still, I’m super mentally at ease~ It was so noticeably droopy before...ㅡㅡㅋ I really want a month to pass soon so I can do contracture-phase massage and sweaty exercise!!!

**For reference, I’m a winter cool tone. I use Double Wear Shell tone. And I’m bad at makeup, so I can’t do shading well either... so that part is a little sad!! (That’s also why the bruising shows more clearly, haha.)

<Summary for busy people> Full removal + cartilage repositioning, basic

Recommend at least 1 week off for swelling + bruising If you have enough leave, 2 weeks is recommended (Even in week 2, the bruising is still there, only vaguely coverable)

- There will be individual differences; I’m the type who doesn’t swell much, - Not an ad post, I paid for it myself
