Before <before surgery> After <after surgery> I had nose surgery before, but after time passed, I felt so disappointed with the nasal tip. So this time I had revision surgery. I had the revision done with autologous costal cartilage, and I asked the director to make it look dramatic.
1. I didn’t have contracture or anything, my nasal tip just became like that. The shape I thought was swelling settled exactly like that. The length was strange too.. Since it wasn’t the nose shape I wanted, I think it kept bothering me. I had no choice but to get revision surgery.
2. A nose where the nostrils showed a lot too.. Should I say it looked like an upturned nose? Even though I had nose surgery, people couldn’t really tell. They even said it looked like something under my nose had been shaved away. Since the height was low too, it all combined to make it look unnoticeable, so I started looking for clinics again.
3. I first looked for places that are good at dramatic noses, and I wanted to go somewhere that wasn’t factory-style. When I went to a large hospital, there were so many people and so many staff.. so many consultants and directors too, so somehow I couldn’t trust the place. Should I say I felt like the skill level would be inconsistent..
4. The place where I got my surgery has 2 directors. I heard one of them almost exclusively handles noses. When I had the consultation, I could talk quietly, and after listening to all my concerns, they clearly explained how they could solve them. Since it was revision surgery, I wanted a clinic that was serious about the “nose” itself, and I wanted a director who knew the surgical methods thoroughly. I think I met the right one, so I booked.
5. You can’t skip over the cost. Honestly, the moment I realized my nose had gone wrong.. that I didn’t like it, I felt like I was losing my mind. Should I say I was devastated? It felt like I had lost all my money. I’m not some millionaire lol, and money doesn’t come from digging in the ground, but thinking that I had lost an amount in the 4 million won range just like that drove me crazy.. On top of that, I had to look into revision surgery, and they said it basically costs twice as much.. If you go somewhere that looks decent and get a quote, it’s basically 7-8 million... During the several months I was considering revision surgery, I went to a huge number of consultations, but there was no clinic that matched my budget and seemed as reasonably priced as this place.
What I’m satisfied with -The side profile, silicone height, and the thickness of the nasal bridge when viewed from the front are all okay.
There are a lot of reviews that are heavily Photoshopped, but I’m just uploading with a regular camera. I’m posting photos too, but I hope everyone doesn’t just look at photos, get tempted, then only half-listen during the consultation, trust 100% without question, get surgery, and regret it. I think cosmetic surgery is something where even after doing all the legwork, you may still not be satisfied, so I hope you’re careful, and careful again.
