Orthodontic treatment review!

It’s been about 5 years since I finished orthodontic treatment! The treatment period was a little under 2 and a half years, and the cost was 5nn (I don’t remember exactly + it was a long time ago + it differs depending on the appliance) I didn’t really wear my retainers, but my teeth haven’t shifted (you shouldn’t do this; it varies case by case, so you need to wear them consistentlyㅠㅠ) It was during COVID, so I just got metal train tracks. Clippy-C? Metal, yeah. What I remember from the consultation is that I wanted ceramic-colored braces, but they said my front teeth were somewhat severely worn down or something, anyway they recommended Clippy-C. It was cheaper, but they recommended it.

Maybe because the clinic is outside Seoul, even with an appointment there was usually about a 15-minute wait, and the dental hygienists were hit or miss! I went every month, and they did scaling. Some people did it really roughly, and some did it very gently. The manager and the director were really kind.

Even though my snaggletooth was really severe, except for all 4 wisdom teeth, all permanent teeth were treated without extraction, and they created space by shaving between both sides. The pain was absolute hell whenever I put in or changed rubber bands. I couldn’t even chew ramen. But after about 4 days, I could chew meat too (case by case).

My review is that I’m extremely satisfied. I do think, why didn’t I do this sooner.. but honestly, I don’t think I could have done it in middle or high school. Because when the alignment was changing, the space between my upper and lower teeth sometimes wouldn’t close at all, and it looked a bit ugly.. That’s a sensitive age, you know. When I had braces, my university classes were online, so it was possible.
