Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

So this is what autologous rib cartilage pain feels like..

I had revision surgery with autologous rib cartilage, and since I’m skinny and the type to completely knock out during sedation anesthesia, I naturally thought I wouldn’t be in pain. Even right after surgery, it hurt so little that I wondered if they had really taken rib cartilage, so I was like, “As expected, I’m not in painㅎ” and went wandering around. But once the painkiller effect wore off, it hurt like hellㅜㅜ It hurt like hell starting the evening of the surgery day. Especially when lying down on the bed and getting up, it was seriously hellㅠ When I try to lie down or get up, I have to take deep breaths and mentally prepare myself. There was even a time I spent 30 minutes preparing myself before lying down.. And it hurts when I strain while pooping too… If I stay still, it doesn’t hurt, but it hurts again when I walk. I guess those muscles are used more than I thought.. Now it’s day 5, so it’s gotten a lot better, and I can just grit my teeth and go about daily life. Still, it does hurt, so I think I’ll need to take it easy for about 2 weeks. In some reviews, people describe it as feeling like being shot, and I think on days 1-2 after surgery, when lying down and getting up, I got a slight taste of that pain(?) Pain varies case by case and person by person, but if any of you are planning to use autologous rib cartilage, I hope this post helps as a reference
