Both times, my orthodontic treatment was non-extraction. I don't recommend extraction orthodontics because it means pulling healthy teeth...! If you have wisdom teeth, it might be possible by extracting the wisdom teeth instead. If I had to say the advantage of orthodontics, it's that my teeth became aligned...? The disadvantages are that you have to live wearing a retainer for the rest of your life, and your gums get weaker... So because the gums recede, my teeth get sensitive and I can't really eat cold things... The disadvantages are so, so, so much bigger than the advantages..... I really hope people who are thinking about orthodontics think it over a bit more.
