Before before before after after Somehow, it has already been 1 year since my surgery. After 6 months, I felt there was almost no change in the swelling, and now I think it has all gone down haha Since I was young, every time I went to the dentist, I was told that my malocclusion was severe. The dentist recommended orthodontic treatment, but I was very scared, so I couldn’t get braces. Time passed like that, and as I became an adult, the malocclusion became worse. When I went to the dentist, they said it was a case that needed surgery, so in the end I decided to have double-jaw surgery at an oral and maxillofacial clinic.
Now that 1 year has passed, sensation still has not recovered to 100%. But the director said recovery speed differs from person to person and that it can continue improving even after 1 year, so I’m not worrying too much about it. Honestly, there isn’t much problem in daily life, so I don’t really think about it : ) I can now eat everything I want, so it’s very comfortable and nice. But I find myself not eating things that are tough, hard, or require long chewing, like gum. My malocclusion has definitely improved a lot, and since I had 2 types of facial contouring (square jaw and chin) together, my family says my face looks smaller and younger haha. Personally, I’m satisfied with that part too! It was very difficult early on after surgery, but after the hard time passed, from 6 months onward time seems to have flown by so fast. I can’t believe it’s already been 1 year haha I think I’ll continue living happily from now on. I’m very grateful to the director who performed my surgery, the orthodontic director, and all the other doctors and staff : )
