+ Day 3 After booking my revision surgery, with not much time left before the surgery date, I found out about a community.
I saw reviews that were the complete opposite of the reviews I had seen on another forum, so I went into the revision surgery full of anxiety..
Right up until just before the surgery, I wondered if I should run out, and even after the surgery I felt anxious, like it had gone wrong and I had been scammed.. I was even suspicious about whether my surgery was really done by the head director, it was hard to meet the director, and everyone seemed like scammers.. And another doctor did the suturing, so I really didn’t like that..
And today is day 3, so I got the splint removed and met the director for the first time after surgery..
But he explained things more clearly than I expected, and when I looked at my nose, I liked it.. The things I hoped would improve did improve, the shape came out naturally, and the head director’s skill is definitely good..
What’s interesting is that compared with my first surgery, there was almost no bleeding, not much swelling, and not much pain..
So I felt much more relieved. It’s still only day 3, so it’s too early for side effects to show up, and I need to keep watching it, but so far I think it’s okay.
And I think it’s certain that the head director did the surgery.
I’m a bit annoyed that he didn’t do the final suturing, but since the result is good.. I met the consultant today, and they said that’s how it usually is. They said another doctor usually harvests the ear cartilage and does the suturing.. It is a bit annoying, but they had told me before surgery about harvesting ear cartilage.
So I knew about that, but I didn’t know another doctor would also do the suturing.. Shouldn’t they have explained this part in more detail???? So I asked for a service, and they said they’ll provide swelling care..
My current condition is: I have some loss of sensation at the nasal tip, it hurts a lot when disinfecting my ear, I have a runny nose, and the nasal tenderness is gone.
I’ll keep writing about my progress.
