I was recommended autologous costal cartilage and was told surgery would be possible by slightly lifting the nasal tip. They said it was a difficult case, so surgery would not have a major effect, but that at that hospital only autologous costal cartilage was possible and they could try operating. Autologous costal cartilage felt too burdensome, so I did not choose it. If you want costal cartilage, try getting a consultation.
