But on day 4, they removed the X-shaped taping, so I could see the nose line past the splint, and from then on something felt strange. My nose was lifted way too sharply, and my columella had just disappeared. Seriously, my nose just looks like a triangle from both the side and the front. I can see a triangle in my nose…
It’s day 20 now, so a lot of the major swelling has gone down, but it’s still blunt and the nose line feels somehow weird. So I went to the clinic and confronted them, asking why the nose line was like this and why my columella had disappeared. But the clinic just kept saying things like, “You never mentioned the columella,” and “We never heard you ask to have the columella lowered.” The doctor said the bluntness of the nose is swelling and will go down, and that the lifted nose will come down.
But even if the swelling goes down and the nasal tip comes down, I feel like the shape will still be freaking weird. Right now my nose is lifted way too much, so there’s really no answer. So I’m already thinking about revision rhinoplasty. I’m planning to go to the Seoul metropolitan area, but what worries me is that when I searched carefully, there are as many bad clinics there as there are good ones. If I go to Seoul and it fails again, that would really be the end… I’m scared that if I get revision surgery, it’ll go wrong again.
