Hehe, first of all, I had a low nose, and the nasal tip drooped a bit, and my nostrils/alar base were wide too, so I wanted a nose with a very defined nasal bridge and overall nose line. But rhinoplasty is still surgery, after all…? So I was a little scared and felt burdened by it, so I had been getting by with fillers for my nose But the filler spread really quickly, and the shape didn’t come out the way I wanted either. In the end, not only does it have limits for cosmetic purposes, but I heard that if you keep getting filler, the shape of your nose can change later, and if it’s injected incorrectly, the side effects of filler seemed really scary too After weighing various factors, I decided that just getting rhinoplasty was the right choice! (I’m not recommending that everyone must get rhinoplasty! It’s just that, in my judgment, compared with continuing to get fillers, rhinoplasty seemed better...!)
But as I said above, rhinoplasty is surgery too...! Even if rhinoplasty takes as short as 1 hour or as long as 3-4 hours, surgery is still surgery, so I had to be cautious. So the parts I especially considered most important were: 1. whether the clinic was trustworthy 2. whether it aimed for surgery that was not excessive and was safe I wanted to find a safe and reliable place like that.
But honestly, whether a place is trustworthy or safe is hard for us to judge... We can only judge as much as possible based on the director and consultant we meet during consultation, right? So I set up my own criteria like these:
1. First, the director’s experience matters too, but I used as a criterion how long the clinic had been open and how long it had stayed in one location. >> I thought that if a place had many incidents or problems, it would be very difficult to keep a plastic surgery clinic running in one place. (This is just my personal thought.) 2. The consultant’s response speed and kindness >> I included this because I heard that after surgery, you see and talk to the consultant more often than the director. 3. Related search terms for the clinic on Google/Naver >> This was a tip someone in the community told me: if you search XXX and the related search terms below include words like side effects or blacklist, it’s better to skip that place! 4. Has someone I actually know around me had surgery there? >> Honestly, some of you may find it hard to find someone around you who has had rhinoplasty... I fortunately had someone, and since I heard rhinoplasty shouldn’t be judged only in the short term but over the long term, I needed a case who could frankly and boldly tell me things like how well it was maintained and how long it lasted..!
Besides these, I also naturally paid attention to things like whether it was a one-doctor private clinic, whether they played games with pricing, whether there was excessive advertising, and what the aftercare was like!!
So the place I ultimately chose was this clinic. Looking at it according to the criteria I set above, first, the director had a long career in rhinoplasty, and the fact that the clinic had been in one location near Sinnonhyeon, Gangnam for nearly 10 years made me trust it. Also, when I went for consultation, the director was really professional, and I felt sincerity in the confidence about noses and in the words that he would take responsibility to the end, especially because I had many worries about surgery. (And the director was handsome... Somehow I had this mistaken thought that if a handsome director operates, his aesthetic sense might match mine better...) And the consultant was really so kind too. I had so many questions that I basically lived on KakaoTalk with every place I visited for consultations... but this was the only place where the consultant wrote really long answers, almost like a full Q&A.. But one disappointing point is that I looked not only in this community but also on other apps and platforms, and I couldn’t find reviews.... Of course, one of my closest acquaintances had it done here, so I did see a real, living review in person, but reviews of this clinic were really hard to find. But there was a reason for that too: first of all, this place didn’t have review discounts or review-event discounts.... So I also had it done without any discount But actually, that made me trust them more..!!
So right now, I’m really very satisfied with the result Honestly, I did have some thoughts like, maybe I should have made it a little higher and more glamorous… But when I think about safety and the future, I feel that not making it excessive and doing it naturally was the right choice…!!
The reason I’m leaving this review is... While browsing here and there, I saw cases where people suddenly had surgery at places without proper information or places they hadn’t researched well, and then regretted it or had the surgery go wrong, and I felt really sorry about that…! So from the perspective of someone with experience, I thought it might help if people left various, more detailed reviews about the place where they had rhinoplasty, including how it was done, why they chose it, and whether it has stayed well maintained even after time passed, so I’m leaving this..! Of course, I also want to brag because my nose turned out well...! hehe And since the place that did a good job has so few reviews, I also feel thankful that my nose turned out well? and I want that place to do even better, so I’m sharing this review!!
