<This is my natural nose! >Before<This is a comparison photo of my surgical nose and natural nose that I posted before haha. The angles are different, so it’s hard to compare accurately..ㅠㅠ >After<This is my nose now, 1 year and 2 months after removal! >Hello! I had surgery in early January last year, and from right after surgery the foreign-body sensation was the biggest issue. Because of psychological anxiety, it felt like my nose was gradually drooping, and until removal after the surgery, I went through a hard 6 months with depression, losing a lot of weight, not being able to eat, and not being able to go to school. If you look at the posts I wrote, you’ll probably see the ones I uploaded haha
And it’s already been 1 year since removal. The removal surgery was a full removal done for free at the hospital in Busan where I had my surgery.
#First surgery
When I first got my nose done, I understand that my nasal tip was relatively high compared with the bridge, but I had a short bulbous nose, so they used tip extension + ear cartilage + a septal support strut! For removal, the hospital suggested leaving only the nasal tip, but I asked them to take everything out ㅜㅜ I signed something like a pledge saying I wouldn’t complain about the nose shape after removal, which was scary, but the director said it would go well, so I did it.
# Comparison of natural nose, surgical nose, and current nose
Honestly, my natural nose, surgical nose, and current nose all feel different. I wanted to go back to my natural nose, but maybe because it was a nose that had bulbous-nose fat removal, after removal the skin on top of my nose is flat? (It’s still a bulbous nose though haha) I don’t know if you can see it, but scar tissue formed on the nasal dorsumㅠ It protrudes, so sometimes in profile, maybe because of that, it looked a little like a hump nose and looked droopy. So even while doing okay, I would sometimes worry about it, and it’s not like I never regretted things like, would it have been better if I had gone to a famous place in Seoul for removal? They didn’t tell me to take Rizaben, so I didn’t, but should I have? But my friends get angry and ask what on earth looks droopy haha. Whenever I feel that way too, I think about how hard last year was and try harder to live well! I’m looking into treatments like scar-tissue injections for my nasal dorsum now, but still, I’m very, very satisfied that I removed everything!
After nose surgery, my impression changed a lot, but maybe because the silicone was removed, my image came back too. It’s different from my natural nose, but it still has a similar feel!
#Nasal tip movement
My nasal tip gets soft in the evening, but in the morning my nose still gets ve~ry swollen and hard. At first I even wondered, did they not remove the support strut? But by dawn, my nose moves around well. Not as much as my natural nose, but I think I can make a pig nose about 70% of the way.
#Contracture period
I didn’t have a contracture period. If anything, I think it’s a bit more droopy than my natural nose. I don’t know if it’s because of the subtle scar tissue on the nasal dorsum that I mentioned earlier! And even now, after a year has passed, when I wear a mask my nasal dorsum feels achy and kind of like that.
After nose surgery it was so hard, but after removal, I’m satisfied because my mind is at ease, aside from the shape too. I came into this community because of scar tissue, and I thought of it, so I’m leaving a review. I thought it would usually be okay after 1 year, but for me, I think I’ll have to wait longer to know. I’m trying to live with a comfortable mind while loving how I look now!
If anyone is struggling after surgery, you can vent to me and I’ll listen as best I can because I know that feelingㅠㅠ Everyone thinking about removal, it will all go well for youㅠㅠ! If you have questions, please send a private post or message!
