This is a Smile LASIK review from a man in his 30s at ㅇㅅㅇㅇ Eye Clinic near Sinsa Station. It has been almost two months since I had the surgery.
ㅇㅅㅇㅇ Eye Clinic... It is so famous that I probably do not even need to mention it. When you get off the subway at Sinsa Station, the announcement tells you to go out through Exit 6. lol
The hospital is actually huge in scale too. I did not realize it from the outside, but it spans several floors.
Since I had made a reservation, I took the elevator up to the floor written in the reservation text message. After checking in and waiting, I had the ophthalmology examinations.
Next to the area for a simple vision test, if you go further inside, there are dozens of types of ophthalmic equipment.
Aside from vision tests when entering the military or during health checkups, I had never had such a wide range of eye exams before, so I was really surprised. I think there were more than 20 eye exam items(?). It seemed to take over an hour.
After that, I had a consultation with the manager. Based on my eye exam results, she explained in detail whether I was suitable for surgery, what my expected corrected vision would be after Smile LASIK, and so on.
Everything was within the normal range, so she told me I probably would not have major side effects like dry eye even after surgery. We decided to proceed with "same-day surgery right after the exam OK!"
I had the surgery with Director Jung Eui-sang. In fact, from the time I made the reservation, I said I wanted same-day surgery with Director Jung Eui-sang, so we coordinated the date. A junior colleague at my company had previously had the same surgery with Director Jung and recommended him because he did not have any major aftereffects.
The manager told me the surgery cost on-site. Director Jung was more expensive than the other directors by as much as several hundred thousand won. I figured it was because he is the director, so I paid.
It did not hurt at all. The surgery seemed to be over in about 5 minutes? or less, and I found my shoes fine on my own (you change shoes during surgery) and walked out perfectly well.
I was so worried before the exam/surgery day that my wife came with me... but when she saw me, she was really surprised..? She said I looked completely fine. lol
Originally, I was planning to take a taxi home after surgery... but I just took the subway ㅡ,.ㅡ I was much more fine than I expected, so I was flooded with regret about why I had not gotten the surgery when I was even one day younger... and why I had been such a scaredy-cat...
After arriving home, I put in the prescribed artificial tears and two other types of eye drops at the times I was told.
I think it was about 3 days after surgery that I visited again and had Director Jung Eui-sang briefly check my eye condition. I was happy to hear, "The surgery went very well." hehe After that, there were no problems at all with daily life.
After staying busy for a while, I recently went back for another visit. I confirmed that my corrected vision was 1.2 in both eyes... and I was diagnosed as having good eye condition too. They said not to come back to the hospital unless a major problem occurs with my eyes in the future.. lol
If you search for Smile LASIK reviews, there are many people complaining of side effects... but the best way to lower the probability is probably to choose the surgeon and equipment well.
As a result, I am living very well with no side effects!!!!
