Review of SMILE LASIK with Director J at O Eye Clinic

I got SMILE LASIK after a recommendation through an acquaintance. When I had exams at other clinics, they said both LASIK and LASEK were possible, but that they did not do SMILE LASIK, so I didn’t know which clinic to trust and was about to give up. Then an acquaintance told me that SNU was the first place to introduce SMILE LASIK, and that they had it done when it first came out and were still very satisfied, so I called and made an appointment right away. I booked same-day exam + same-day surgery and went in with my heart pounding. After the exam, I found out you can choose the director. I chose the chief director because he has a lot of experience, was the first to introduce the Zeiss machine, and seemed trustworthy, so I had the surgery with him. And even though he could get tired from seeing so many people, he was really, really kind, and I could see why so many people keep going to him. I’m recommending him to my acquaintances after my surgery too. The surgery took about 10 minutes, and I had SMILE LASIK + corneal strengthening done together. Some people don’t do corneal strengthening, but they said it would be better for me because my corneal shape was not even, so I paid an extra 500,000 won and had it done together. I thought it would be better to do it to prepare for future situations. When I went into surgery, I was a little worried, like what if I move my eyes around.. but the director explained everything before, during, and after surgery very thoroughly and kindly, so I wasn’t worried. The surgery went well, and it has been about 2 weeks now. For about the first week, things were a little hazy, so I wondered if something had gone wrong, but it has been getting better as time passes. I originally had both astigmatism and myopia, so even with contact lenses things were a bit blurry, but after surgery my astigmatism is gone, so I’m very satisfied TT When I go out to have fun or stay out until night, the things I had to worry about and the discomfort because of contact lenses are gone, so it feels like one worry has disappeared. That’s why I’m recommending it to people I know. This clinic also feels trustworthy, and since eyes are important and really cannot be fixed if something goes wrong, I think you should get the most expensive and best option.
