I’m in my 2nd year of orthodontic treatment. I barely had protruding lips, but my tooth alignment was seriously.. completely hopeless. The problem was that my nasolabial folds were really severe. So I hesitated so, so much about getting braces. The cost was one thing, but.. I was horrified because they said nasolabial folds could get worse.. But as I got older, because my tooth alignment was bad, I had no confidence in social situations, and my mouth shape looked weird when I smiled.. In the end, I got braces, and now it’s been 2 years. I’m so satisfied, to the point that I wonder why I hesitated until now.. My nasolabial folds definitely seem to have deepened a bit more.. () I’m not sure yet whether my gums have weakened. But because my teeth are now straight, I actually smile more broadly than before treatment. More than anything, my face shape changed in a way that feels more refined? Everyone who sees me says my face looks slimmer.. If you’re really worried about your tooth alignment, definitely get orthodontic treatment. I regret all the time I spent hesitating..
