I went in for alar base reduction because I wanted it, and the staff member who consulted with me explained everything in a truly lecture-like, very detailed way, and recommended in detail the surgeries my nose needed, ranked 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. However, since the shape of my nose has smaller nostrils, the director said I would need an additional surgery to widen the columella base for the effect to be significant, so I’m debating whether alar base reduction itself is even the right thing to do...
